From May 1st to 4th, 2025, Teresópolis, in the mountainous region of Rio, will be the setting for Italian culture. Teresa's Festival reaches its 4th edition at Espaço Cultural Higino, in the Alto neighborhood, with free entry.
The event pays tribute to Empress Teresa Cristina and celebrates two historical milestones: the 2.500 years since the founding of Naples and the 150 years of Italian immigration in Brazil.
Typical gastronomy and cultural program
During the four days, restaurants and guest chefs will present typical dishes from different regions of Italy. Italian Cuisine Federation will lead Neapolitan gastronomy show classes.
The program includes musical performances, traditional dances, fashion, design and craft exhibitions, as well as theater plays and artistic interventions that rescue the story of Teresa Cristina.

Strengthened economy and tourism
In 2024, the Festival attracted more than 100 thousand people and generated R$9 million in the local economy. The expectation for 2025 is to surpass these numbers, generating around 300 jobs and boosting tourism and commerce in the city.
The Teresópolis Tourism Department will have a stand to promote local products such as wines, honey, mushrooms, coffee and gin.

realization and support
The Festival is sponsored by Enel and the State Secretariat for Culture and Creative Economy of Rio de Janeiro, via the Culture Incentive Law. It also has the support of Consulate General of Italy in Rio, the Italian Institute of Culture, the City Hall of Teresópolis and the Italian Cuisine Federation.
