Reynaldo Fernandes Cisotto Gianecchini Júnior was born in Birigui, in the interior of the state of São Paulo, on November 12, 1972. Son of Reynaldo Cisotto Gianecchini and Heloisa Gianecchini, began her career as a model in 1991 and participated in fashion shows until 1998.

He graduated in Law from PUC of São Paulo in 1997, but he did not take the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) exam and did not practice his profession.

His debut as an actor was at the hands of the renowned director José Celso Martinez Corrêa, who directed him in the shows Cacilda (1998) and Boca de Ouro (1999).

In 2001, Reynaldo Gianecchini worked with another renowned theater director, Gerald thomas, who directed him in the play The Prince of Copacabana.

At that time, the actor had already acted in his first soap opera, Laços de Família, which aired on TV Globo in 2000. He lived the character Eduardo, young recently graduated doctor who gets involved in a love triangle with Helena (Vera Fischer) and Camila (Carolina Dieckmann), mother and daughter.

In 2003, he made a special appearance in the last chapter of the soap opera Mulheres Apaixonadas. The following year, she starred in the soap opera The color of sin, playing the twins Paco and Apolo. The work was very successful and Gianecchini received the Contigo Award for Best Actor.

In 2005, the actor experienced the best moment of his career so far, when he played the clumsy mechanic Paschoal, from Wonderful, showing versatility and a comedic streak that had never been seen before.

In the following years, he starred in the play Vossa Excelência, o Candidato (2006) and the soap opera Sete Pecados (2007), alongside actresses Priscila Fantin and Giovanna Antonelli. Between 2010 and 2011 he was in the cast of the soap opera Passione, on TV Globo, playing the villain Frederico. This was one of the most important roles in the actor's career, as he played a romantic partner at the beginning of the plot with the character Clara, played by Mariana Ximenes.

In 2012, he returned to soap operas in Guerra dos Sexos, his fourth work with Silvio de Abreu. Gianecchini played Nando, a naive driver who gained great prominence throughout the plot.

In 2014, he played the cook Cadu in the soap opera Em Família, by Manoel Carlos. In the plot, he lived his fourth romantic couple with Giovanna Antonelli, who played Clara, a wife who abandoned her husband to live in a relationship with another woman.

Villain in the soap opera

In 2015, Reynaldo Gianecchini played the villain Anthony in Secret Truths. The following year, he was the protagonist Pedro Guedes Leitão in the soap opera A Lei do Amor. 

In 2019, he starred alongside Juliana Paes, Agatha Moreira and Marcos palmeira, the soap opera The owner of the piece, as playboy Régis.

In 2022, Reynaldo Gianecchini had a highly praised performance in the series Good morning, Veronica, in which the villain Mathias lives, a religious leader who uses women's faith to commit sexual abuse.

Reynaldo Gianecchini's personal life

Reynaldo Gianecchini was married to journalist, actress and presenter Marilia Gabriela. The two met in 1998 and five months later they were living together. THE relationship has always been preserved by both in interviews. The age difference between them – she is 24 years older – was the target of many nasty comments. They ended their relationship in 2006.

Reynaldo Gianecchini had brief romances with actress Christiane Alves and promoter Eloísa Alencar. Recently, the actor declared that he had a fluid sexuality, having had romances with women and men.

Father's death and illness

The actor's father, Reynaldo Cisotto Gianecchini, died in October 2011, a victim of cancer of the digestive system. In the same year, Reynaldo Gianecchini discovered that he had non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, type angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma.

That year, at age 38, he underwent a chemotherapy session No. Syrian-Lebanese Hospital, in São Paulo, for treatment of the disease.
