Of these, 700 million euros, 8,7 billion reais, will be available this year for citizens who want to exchange their vehicle.
With the idea of reducing carbon emissions from the country's fleet, the subsidies also include an incentive of 1,25 thousand euros, or 7 thousand reais, for those who exchange their old car for a new one that also has a combustion engine. , as long as it meets the emissions criteria Euro 6.
Subsidies of up to 6 thousand euros will be given to those who purchase a electric vehicle new price of up to 35 thousand euros, or 193 thousand reais.
An additional 2 thousand euros, 11 thousand reais, will be given if the owner's old vehicle has a combustion engine.
If the choice is for a more expensive electric car, up to 45 thousand euros, or 250 thousand reais, the allowance it will be lower, 2,5 thousand euros, or 14 thousand reais.
The incentive policy also aims to promote and support the country's automotive industry.
