He is Clemente Del Vecchio, the youngest of the six children of Leonardo Del Vecchio, the tycoon who founded Luxottica, the largest eyewear brand in the world, who passed away at the age of 87 in June 2022.
The company is responsible for manufacturing glasses from famous brands, such as Ray-Ban, Oakley, Giorgio Armani, Prada, Vogue and Dolce & Gabbana, for example.
In 2018, Del Vecchio's company merged with a French lens company and became EssilorLuxottica, which has an estimated market value of more than US $ 80 billion.

Upon his father's death, Clemente inherited a 12,5% stake in Delfin, which is the holding company (a company that holds majority ownership of shares in other companies) of EssilorLuxottica.
