The damage caused by floods to crops amounts to at least 1 million euros
The series of storms that have hit Italy in recent days has put the Emilia-Romagna region, in northern Italy, on red alert this Monday (13).
In the province of Forlì-Cesena, the Savio River overflowed its banks during the morning, and two stranded people needed to be rescued, including one with a disability. Firefighters continue working to find any individuals in difficulty.
A similar situation occurs in the province of Modena, with the flooding of the Secchia and Panaro rivers. Schools and bridges were closed, and authorities asked people to move to higher ground.
The National Confederation of Direct Growers (Coldiretti) estimates the damage caused by floods to crops in Emilia-Romagna at at least 1 million euros. The regions of Tuscany and Liguria are on yellow alert due to strong winds.
