Reggio-Emilia was the city chosen to produce the electric supercar Hong Qi S9 in Italy.
The hypercar with 1.400 hp can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 1,9 seconds.
The model was born from a joint venture between the American Silk EV and the Chinese giant FAW.

Designed by the legendary Walter De Silva, an Italian designer, who designed the lines of the Alfa Romeo 156/147, the Audi R8/TT and the Volkswagen Scirocco, the hypercar appeared for the first time at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show, in Germany.
For Jonathan Krane, CEO of the new company, Reggio-Emilia “is a strategic location which allows you to be just two hours from Milan and less than 30 minutes from Modena. A city that has a particular meaning for the car.”

The forecast is that the megafactory of Silk EV-FAW, be fully operational in two years and that the first Hong Qi S9 leave the production line in early 2023.
After that, the range will be expanded with other less radical models – SUVs and sedans – but equally exclusive, with high performance and, of course, zero emissions.
