Actor Reynaldo Gianecchini stars in "Diminuta," a new feature film that unites Brazil and Italy in a co-production filmed in the Veneto region and the Serra Gaúcha. The pre-premiere is scheduled for December 2nd. Reag Fine Arts, in Sao Paulo.

Directed by Bruno Saglia, the film tells the story of Cristiano, a man who spent his childhood with his musician grandfather in Italy, where he developed a strong connection with the saxophone. After his grandfather's death, Cristiano moves to Brazil and distances himself from music.
In his adult life, facing a crisis in his marriage and at work, he decides to return to Italy in search of reconnection with his original passion: jazz.
Filming in Brazil and Italy
“Diminuta” is a co-production of the companies Arteon and Tarumã. Filming took place in two regions significant to Italian immigration: Veneto, in northern Italy, and Serra Gaúcha, in southern Brazil.

The film will be available on the streaming platform “Belas à la Carte” starting December 3rd.
During the recordings, Gianecchini He had to learn to play the saxophone to portray the character. "I had to learn the basics. I didn't even know how to hold the instrument," the actor said at the first screenings of the film.

Besides Gianecchini, the cast includes Deborah Evelyn, Daniela Escobar, and a special appearance by Italian actor Giancarlo Giannini, nominated for an Oscar for the film "Pasqualino Seven Beauties".
