Italian wine exports to Brazil grew 14,3% in value in the first half of 2026. During the same period, the average price of Italian labels reached US$4,81 per liter.
The value represents a 24,6% increase in three years. In the first quarter of 2023, a liter of Italian wine imported into Brazil cost, on average, US$3,86.
The data is part of the study "Wine in Brazil," produced by ICE, the Italian government agency responsible for the internationalization of Italian companies, and the Department for the Promotion of Exchanges of the Italian Embassy.
Among the suppliers evaluated, Italy registered the main growth in the premium segment. The country has the second highest average price per liter in the Brazilian market, behind France, with US$ 10,51.

Spain showed a different result in the first half of the year. Spanish exports to Brazil fell by 8,6% in volume and 0,76% in value through June.
Preference for natural cork
Among the regular consumers evaluated in the study, 77% consider a natural cork stopper a requirement when choosing wine. Another 58% associate the screw cap primarily with practicality.
Supermarkets and hypermarkets They account for 86,5% of the volume of off-trade sales, a category that includes purchases intended for consumption outside of commercial establishments.
E-commerce, in turn, accounts for 13,5% of the Brazilian wine market, according to the survey.
The roadshow will visit four cities.
The fifth edition of I Love Italian Wines will be held in September, with meetings aimed at importers, buyers, distributors and industry professionals.
The circuit will begin in Brasília on September 11th at the Italian Embassy. It will then move to Rio de Janeiro on the 14th at the Sheraton Grand Rio, and to São Paulo on the 16th at the JK Iguatemi. The final stage will be in Curitiba on the 18th at the Castelo do Batel.
