A Juliet's House, a museum that pays homage to William Shakespeare's famous heroine in Verona, was considered the Italy's most disappointing tourist attraction for visitors.
The classification was based on a platform survey Prely, which analyzed online reviews of more than 3 tourist attractions to discover the country's least appreciated.
The ranking shows that 50% of visitors who evaluated the museum on the internet were disappointed with the attraction. Next come the Fiabilandia amusement park, in Rimini, and the Neapolis Archaeological Park, in Syracuse, (47% each).
Juliet's House houses pieces that make reference to the work “Romeo and Juliet”, which is set in Verona, and its various film adaptations, mainly that of Franco Zeffirelli.

The route includes the famous courtyard of the house, where the statue of Juliet is located. The place is visited by thousands of people who caress the statue's breast as a symbol of hope for eternal love.
According to reviews, what leaves visitors most disappointed is the long queue before entering the building, often just to take a photo with the famous statue in the center of the courtyard.
Among the 30 least appreciated attractions are also the Greek Theatre in Syracuse; the Rialto Bridge and the Galleries of the Accademia in Venice; the Perugina Chocolate House in Perugia; the Leonardo da Vinci Museum of Science and Technology and the Teatro alla Scala in Milan; the Ponte Vecchio in Florence; the Piazza di Trevi in Rome; and the Enzo Ferrari House Museum in Modena.
