The 20th anniversary special series of My Paraná, from RPC, an affiliate of Rede Globo, continues its journey through northern Italy, a region that maintains strong historical ties with Paraná due to Italian immigration that began about 150 years ago.
In the second episode, presented this Saturday (14), the team arrived in Verona, a city known worldwide for serving as the setting for The story of Romeo and JulietThe report showcased the historic architecture, the atmosphere that attracts tourists from all over the world, and followed the daily life of a couple from Paraná who decided to start a new life in the city.
The move, however, was not simple. According to the program, the arrival in the country was marked by challenges and moments of financial difficulty until the family managed to settle in.
The report also visited wineries in the region where Amarone della Valpolicella is produced, an internationally renowned wine made only in this part of the world.

Traditions of Northern Italy
The team also climbed the mountains of Trento regionSurrounded by the Italian Alps, to showcase the production of traditional grappa. The distillate is made from grape pomace and is known for its high alcohol content.
In the second part of the report, the program visited the Garda lake, described as the largest in Italy, with approximately 370 square kilometers, almost the size of Curitiba.
On the shores of the lake, the team met Vinícius Bersi, a native of Londrina who left his career as a journalist in Brazil to live in the region and build a new professional path.
Of Italian descent, he reported that he grew up hearing stories of immigration and that the move to his great-grandparents' country ended up becoming a way to reconnect his own trajectory to his family's origins.
The special series thus showcases different stories of people from Paraná who have put down roots in northern Italy, in a journey marked by challenges, identity, and family ties.
