An Italian-Brazilian citizen, Brazilian presenter Ana Maria Braga was chosen to be the godmother of the 8th edition of Settimana della Cucina Regionale Italiana, which will be held in São Paulo later this year.
In a photo published on Twitter, the Italian consul general in São Paulo, Filippo La Rosa, appears alongside the presenter, the delegate of the Accademia Italiana della Cucina, Gerardo Landulfo, and the deputy consul, Simone Panfili. “What a pleasure to meet Ana Maria Braga: enormous friendliness, great attachment to Italian roots and a deep knowledge of cuisine.
The ideal godmother for the 8th edition of the Settimana della Cucina Regionale Italiana de São Paulo”, wrote La Rosa. Ana Maria Braga, in turn, also celebrated the title on the social network. “An honor to be the godmother of Settimana della Cucina Regionale Italiana! We are going to welcome 20 Italian chefs, some even stars,” she published.
During the event, the city of São Paulo will become the capital of Italian gastronomy and renowned chefs from 20 regions of Italy will take over the kitchens of 20 restaurants in São Paulo, with menus inspired by local cuisine. The dates for the 2019 edition will be announced at a later date.
