After being criticized by country fans on the web, Cuban soprano Maria Aleida, who was supposed to have sung with the two, used her Instagram account to deny the Minas Gerais native’s claim that she was the one who caused the “musical disagreement”.

During her appearance on the show, Paula experienced a "blackout" during "Vivo por Ella," failing to sing part of the song. The singer from Minas Gerais explained, through her press office, that there was actually a second special guest appearance, which was canceled at the last minute due to the guest's health issues.

To refute the Brazilian version, Maria Aleida published an image (see above) of what would be the official script for the show on Allianz ParkIn the bottom right corner, next to the track title, it is possible to read the inscription AB/PF (theoretically Andrea Bocelli and Paula Fernandes), which would indicate that only the two of them should perform the song.

“My conscience is clear, I never abandoned the stage or failed in my duty. This song is a duet, not a trio. Whoever told Ms. Fernandes that the song would be sung by three people lied,” wrote Maria Aleida.

In the first performance of Bocelli's tour in São Paulo, on October 12th, the Cuban participated in “Vivo por Ella”, this time alongside Anitta, the Italian's first guest. But, according to Maria, this was unforeseen. “The director asked me to sing two hours before the performance.”

In the comments of the post, the Cuban also stated that neither Paula Fernandes nor Anitta were properly prepared to sing “Vivo por Ella”, which was a hit in Brazil in the 1990s with a version sung by Bocelli and Sandy.

“I have nothing to do with the fact that she was paralyzed! She didn't know the song. Neither her nor the other. They arrived at rehearsal reading the lyrics of the song on paper. A total lack of respect for Andrea.”

Also on social media, Paula Fernandes' mother, Dulce Souza, came to her daughter's defense this Monday, publishing a montage in which Maria Aleida appears on Bocelli's stage with Anitta and Daniel —the third Brazilian guest on the tenor tour, but not with country music.

“I would like to congratulate all the Brazilian artists who had the honor of performing alongside tenor Andrea Bocelli and wish the best to singer Maria Aleida, who unfortunately, due to health problems, was unable to attend the concert on the day of singer Paula Fernandes' performance. ”, wrote Dulce.
