Did you know that there are around 300 types of pasta in Italy? Preparing the most famous Italian recipes, from ragù to carborana sauce, following all the secrets and traditions can be a real challenge.
But, to celebrate World Pasta Day, this Thursday (25), a guide was created with a step-by-step guide to the most famous dishes in Italy.
The guide was prepared by the Italian Sweets and Pasta Industries Association (Aidepi), in collaboration with the website We Love Pasta.
According to Aidepi, there are 300 types of pasta in Italy, with each pasta matching exactly one type of sauce.
“Gravatinha” pasta goes best with light and fresh condiments, while “tortiglioni” should be prepared with meat ragú or amatriciana sauce. “Penne” type pasta is more practical and sticks to easy-to-prepare sauces.
Aidepi also said that the most falsified recipe in the world is pasta carbonara. This is because, according to the original recipe, it is necessary to add the paste to the sauce right after cooking. The temperature of the pasta will be responsible for cooking the egg and binding the sauce.
In the Italian pasta guide, there are also tips on the preparation time for each dish and its original ingredients. It is believed that a person consumes at least 1 kg of paste per year. Italy is the country that leads in pasta consumption, with 24 kilos per person annually. (ANSA)
