Mick Jagger, lead singer of the group Rolling Stones, bought a house on the island of Etna, more precisely in Portopalo, a small village in the province of SIRACUSA. The revealer is 'Ragusanews', a newspaper in the region.

Portopalo di Capo Passero is a coastal village located in the south of Sicilia. It offers numerous beaches of fine, clear sand with shallow waters and crystal clear seas (such as Playa Carratois and the coast of Island of Capo Passero) and long stretches of rocky coastline ideal for snorkeling (such as Tip of the Ants).

On the aforementioned Isola di Capo Passero, a small island of around 35 hectares separated from the coast by a 300 meter shallow sea “tongue” and accessible by canoe, pedal boat or by a small fishing boat that in summer carries out the service of connection.

In addition to the beautiful beaches, it is worth visiting the warehouses of vecchia tonnara and  Fort of Capo PasseroHerds port of call, with Tonnara de Portopalo, is one of the most famous and popular beaches in this town.

Island of the Currents is, on the other hand, the “paradise” of lovers of windsurf and, more generally, waves.
