Explosions hit warehouses in the port of Ancona; there are no victims
Um large fire, with strong explosions, in the port area scared the residents of Ancona. The fire started shortly after midnight (local time), this Wednesday (16).
The causes that led to the fire are still under investigation. A thick column of smoke is still in the air.
There are no reports of victims or injuries. Schools and parks remain closed. In a statement, the mayor asked the population to keep their windows closed and avoid going out on the streets.
Just over a month ago, a fire in the port of Beirut, Lebanon, led to a huge explosion that destroyed part of the city and left more than 160 people dead.
