According to Sky TG24, two Italians died and four people were injured in a head-on collision on the national road in the Prettigau valley, in the Swiss region of Grisons, near Schiers. A car with Swiss license plates was traveling from Davos towards Landquart when the driver lost control and crashed head-on into a vehicle with Italian license plates traveling in the opposite direction. The impact was so violent that the Italian car was thrown against the safety barrier between the road and the railway line.
The driver and a passenger in the Italian car died at the scene. A third passenger was seriously injured. The driver, a woman, and a child who were in the Swiss vehicle escaped with minor injuries.
