Fasano returns to gastronomic heritage

Meanwhile, Vittorio's children had returned to study in Italy, including the youngest, Ruggero, who returned to Brazil in 1937. He was already married to Ida and had two children, Fábio, 4 years old, and Fabrizio, only 2 years old.

Thus, Ruggero resumed the gastronomic legacy family, opening the first Fasano restaurant on Rua Vieira de Carvalho, in 1947.
In the 50s, Fasano reopened at the traditional address of Brasserie Paulista, in Prado Antonio Prado. In the 60s, the enterprise reached Avenida Paulista, in the recently opened National Ensemble, where the Fasano Confectionery.
Memorable nights in São Paulo
At this address, Ruggero opened a confectionery shop with winter Garden and a concert hall, where performances by names such as Nat King Cole. The events were attended by celebrities such as David niven, Marlene Dietrich e ginger rogers.

In 1982, Fabrizio Fasano, son of Ruggero, summoned his son Gero Fasano, fourth generation, to open a new restaurant in Eldorado Shopping.
In 2003, the inauguration of the Hotel Fasano Sao Paulo marks a new challenge for the group and the realization of Gero's dream.
Four years later, the Hotel Fasano Rio de Janeiro opens in Ipanema and, in the same year, the merger with JHSF. Founded in 1972, JHSF is the leader in real estate industry high income in Brazil.

The partnership enabled the company's consolidation in the luxury hotel, with the opening of units in locations even outside Brazil, such as in Punta del Este, in Uruguay and New York, in the United States, in addition to Brazilian cities such as Boa Vista, Angra dos Reis, Belo Horizonte e Salvador.

The company has its brand in different ventures in the area of gastronomy, such as the restaurants Fasano, Gero, Parigi and Bistrot Parigi, Trattoria, Nonno Ruggero and Gero Panini, as well as the bars Baretto and Baretto-Londra and Selezione Fasano, a store with gastronomy products, gift baskets e home products.

The businessman Fabrizio Fasano, who arrived in Brazil at the age of two in 1937 with his father Ruggero, died in November 2018, aged 83. He left behind his wife Daisy and his children Fabrizio Fasano Junior, Gero Fasano and Andrea.
Today the group is led by Gero Fasano, which continues the legacy of the immigrant Vittorio, who arrived in Brazil to succeed with his work in New Earth.
