Italian singer said he found out he was sick on March 10
“My experience with coronavirus? A tragedy. The whole family was infected, with a high fever, although low, sneezing and coughing”, revealed the singer Andrea Bocelli, this Tuesday (26).
The international star managed to defeat the coronavirus together with his family without any consequences. Bocelli himself told journalists as he left the blood transfusion center at the university hospital in Pisa, where he donated his plasma, rich in antibodies useful in the battle against Covid-19.
The unit is conducting a study on the effectiveness of plasma from patients cured of the new coronavirus in treating infected people – the liquid part of the blood carries the antibodies necessary to fight the disease.
The therapy has already been tested in several hospitals across the country and is also the subject of a nationwide study led by the Instituto Superior da Saúde (ISS) and the Italian Medicines Agency (Aifa).

Exactly 30 days after contracting the covid-19 virus, Bocelli gave a solitary concert in Milan Cathedral, on Easter Sunday. But he didn't inform fans that she had just come out of mandatory isolation.
“I took the test and saw that it was positive. Honestly, when I found out on March 10, I jumped in the pool because I felt good,” said the tenor.
Today, on his social media, the singer wrote: “In order not to unnecessarily alarm my fans, out of respect for those who contracted the virus with other consequences, and also to protect my family, I did not think it was appropriate to share the news. Perfectly healed before the end of March, today new priorities require me to abandon the privacy I have sought until now as a responsible option.”
His wife and children also contracted the virus.
