Forbes compiled the list of the richest people in the world: in total, the wealth of the super-rich grew 56%, reaching 185 billion euros – almost 1,2 trillion reais.
As regards Italy, the richest people today have the equivalent of the net wealth of 30% of poorest Italians, corresponding to 18 million adults.
At the top of the ranking we find John Ferrero with an estimated net worth of 33,3 billion dollars.
In second position behind the patron of the Ferrero group, we still find Leonardo DelVecchio, from Luxottica, with 32,4 billion in assets.
On the lowest step of the podium is the pharmaceutical entrepreneur Stephen Pessina, which precedes Massimiliana Landini Aleotti, from the Menarini Group.
Fifth place for Giorgio Armani, which is one rank above Silvio Berlusconi in the ranking of richest people in Italy.
In total there are 49 super rich in Italy: among these there are also several new entries.
