No swimming on the stunning Italian Riviera: there is lots of bacteria in the water. The ban on bathing in the scorching summer, surprising to many, was enacted late this Thursday afternoon (27), in 28 stretches of the Emilia-Romagna coast.
Most are in Ravenna, with 26 points prohibited by mayors.
According to Corriere di Bologna, the values of the bacteria Escherichia coli (E.coli) were above the limit values established by law.
