Ranking was carried out by the tourist guide 'Guida Blu 2019'
The island of Sardinia, in Italy, was elected the region with the largest number of beautiful beaches in the country by “Guida Blu 2019”, a tourist guide created by the NGOs Legambiente and Touring club italiano.
Presented in Rome, the catalog "The Most Beautiful Sea of 2019" analyzes the best Italian beaches and lakes. In total, the maximum rating of "five sails" was achieved by 16 tourist areas and seven lakes.
According to the ranking of regions, the “queen of summer” has five coasts with the highest scores, followed by Sicily (3), Puglia (3), Campania (2), Tuscany (2) and Liguria (1). The Tyrrhenian Sea received the most awards, with five sails awarded to seven districts.
Additionally, Pollica and Cilento (Salerno), Castiglione della Pescaia, Maremma Toscana (province of Grosseto, Tuscany), Baronia di Posada and the Natural Park of Tepilora appear on the list.
In terms of lakes, Trentino-Alto Adige is confirmed as the best location: Molveno was chosen as the commune with the most beautiful lake in the country. Next appear Sospirolo (Lake de Mis, in Veneto) and several other municipalities on the western coast of Lake Garda (Gardone Riviera, Gargnano, Riva del Garda, Limone sul Garda, Tignale).
