Rock in Rio announced three more attractions to rock the City of Rock between September 2nd and 11th, 2022. The music and entertainment festival confirmed the return of Guns N' Roses as the headliner on the World Stage on September 8th.
On the same day, the stars of the Italian group Måneskin, which premieres on Brazilian soil.
On the 10th, passing through the Rock in Rio World Stage for the first time, Djavan opens the night which has already confirmed Coldplay as the main attraction, in addition to Camila Cabello and Bastille.
Hard rock band Guns N' Roses returns to the festival with their epic hits such as “Sweet Child O' Mine” and “Welcome To The Jungle”, as well as the recently released “ABSU?D” and “Hard Skool”.
The band closes the night on Palco Mundo under the command of vocalist Axl Rose, who will be accompanied by Slash on guitar, Duff McKagan on bass, Richard Fortus on guitar, Frank Ferrer on drums, and keyboardists Dizzy Reed and Melissa Reese.
A Eurovision 2021 winning Italian band Måneskin, one of the most requested attractions by fans of the City of Rock, will perform for the first time in Brazil.
In the setlist, of course there will be the hit song “start“, which already has more than 750 million plays on Spotify and went viral on TikTok, becoming one of the most played on the platform, in addition to its latest releases such as “I Wanna Be Your Slave” and “Mammamia”.
Another newcomer to the World Stage, the festival brings, on September 10th, the singer Djavan, an icon of Brazilian music whose repertoire encompasses various musical styles.including jazz, blues, pop, samba and flamenco music.
Although the 2022 edition marks his first exclusive performance at the event, Djavan was at Rock in Rio in 1991, when he made a special appearance in Santana's show singing Oceano and Soweto.
