The fire is affecting the Mount Faeta area, located between the provinces of Lucca and Pisa. This information was confirmed by the mayor of the neighboring town of San Giuliano Terme.
During the early morning hours, strong winds worsened the situation and contributed to the rapid spread of the fire. The weather conditions led local authorities to implement preventative evacuations.
The regional president of Tuscany, Eugenio Giani, reported in a statement that the winds intensified the advance of the flames throughout the night.

Firefighting teams are facing difficulties controlling the fire due to adverse conditions. Three Canadair firefighting aircraft have been mobilized to operate in the region.
Aircraft are providing support to ground crews, who continue working to contain the advancing flames. The operation was confirmed by the national fire department via the social network X.
