The Covid vaccination or recovery certificate issued in Brazil is now valid for tourists entering Portugal.
The measure, however, is only valid for people who have received vaccines recognized by the European Medicines Agency (EMA): Janssen, AstraZeneca, Moderna and Pfizer. Coronavac has not yet been authorized by the agency.
“As part of the measures to combat the Covid-19 disease pandemic applied to air traffic, the government determined that vaccination and recovery certificates issued by third countries will now be recognised, under conditions of reciprocity and as long as they meet certain requirements. , whose respective holders have been administered vaccines approved by the European Medicines Agency (Janssen, AstraZeneca, Moderna, Pfizer)”, says the note from the Portuguese government.
Italy needs to follow the measure adopted by Portugal and also accept the vaccination certificate from Brazil.
