Nas social media, French people rejoice at the tragedy in Mottarone, in northern Italy, which killed 14 people – they were in a cable car that plummeted when one of the cables broke.
The “cousins” cannot sympathize with the Italy. Even in times of pain.
“God is happy when Italians die”, posted one internet user. “God killed 13 sons of bitches… today…” wrote another. “This is karma…” said another user.
These are just some of the venomous messages posted on social media by the French, leaving Italy in disbelief, according to a publication in the newspaper Libero Quotidiano.
In total, 14 people died in the tragedy, including two children, aged nine and two. According to local authorities, 15 people were in the cabin.

French hate
The hatred is the same as three days ago, when the group Maneskins won Eurosong and left France in second place. Who, not happy, accused the rock group of being drugged. Exams proved that the young people did not use any type of drug.
Going back in time, what comes to mind is cartoon de Charlie Hebdo, which described the victims of earthquake Amateur, which killed 299 people, as “penne al pomodoro".
Historical rivalry
A rivalry between Italy and France is as strong as between Brazil x Argentina. And it goes back centuries. The, shall we say, mutual antipathy began with land disputes, as they are neighboring countries.
And it ended up becoming more intense in the 19th century, with conflicts over raw materials and human resources. In fact, these controversies were one of the causes for the beginning of the First World WarIn 1914.
