The Italian Consulate General in Porto Alegre, led by the consul Valerio Caruso, showed that he knows how to “play beautifully” by strengthening ties between Brazil and Italy through football.
At the end of December, Caruso “entered the field” at the Beira-Rio stadium, home of Sport Club Internacional, to learn more about the history and achievements of one of the most traditional clubs in Brazil.
Received by the president Alessandro Barcellos and for the board, the consul highlighted the importance of football as a bridge between Italian and Brazilian cultures.

This Tuesday, January 7th, the consulate received a visit from Dunga, world champion in 1994 and icon of Rio Grande do Sul football. The former captain of the Brazilian National Team proudly displayed his Italian passport, symbolizing the strong connection to his Italian roots.

The meeting was a celebration of Dunga's successful career and the role of sport as an element of cultural unity between the two countries.
The fans are grateful!
