According to the institute, the best flavors are yogurt and milk. Research heard nutritionists and pediatricians across Italy.
The Instituto del Gelato Italiano (IGI) brought together nutritionists and pediatricians to answer health questions about the consumption of ice cream and the properties of the sweet.
The campaign, called “Piacere, gelato!” (“Prazer, ice cream!”, in free translation), aims to show the nutritional values of the treat, guide parents about its consumption by children and also present its dangers.
The first gelato, for example, should be taken from the age of 12 months, as a morning or afternoon snack and preferably in yogurt and fior di latte flavors (milk flower, in free translation), although fruit ones are also very good. -welcome.
Furthermore, nutritionists guarantee that, contrary to what many think, ice cream, even industrialized, does not contain preservatives. This is because the low temperature is enough to guarantee the absence of germs and keep it preserved.
The full campaign and other articles about Italy's most beloved sweet can be found on the official IGI website (www.istitutodelgelato.it), which has several infographics on the topic. (ANSA)
