Police in Molise, in the southern region of Italy, on Monday (29) fined two Brazilians who were working in Campobasso €135 (around R$600).
The two were accused of acting as a business agency for the processing of administrative practices, for the process of Italian citizenship "jus sanguini“, without registration with the competent bodies, due to irregular residence and for providing rented houses without contracts to customers.
Brazilians were included in articles 115 and 17 bis of Tulps (Consolidated text of public safety laws), the Security Law in force in Italy.
The owners of the houses were also fined for providing accommodation to foreigners without notifying the local authority in writing within a maximum period of 48 hours. A violation of article 7 of Legislative Decree 286/98.
Police did not release the names of those involved.
