The city of Imola, Italy, is immersed in celebrations of the 30th anniversary of the death of the former Brazilian pilot Ayrton Senna, as several events will take place in the municipality until June 2nd.
The three-time Formula 1 world champion, considered one of the greatest drivers of all time, has been remembered by Ímola since March 21, when the first event in his memory was inaugurated.
Local authorities have organized initiatives to suit all tastes, as the public will be able to attend exhibitions, monologues, shows and even sporting events, such as a football tournament between schools from Brazil and Italy.
One of the musical events will take place at “Al Parco”, a music venue located within Parque das Águas Minerais.
The venue will organize “Brazilian Night”, as it will play important songs from the culture of the South American country for the public.
The Ebe Stignani Municipal Theater, in turn, will host a monologue by actor and musician Stefabi Fresi, who will be accompanied by a band.
On May 1st, the date of Senna's death, the Tamburello corner of the Imola circuit, where the former driver suffered the tragic accident, will host a ceremony with local, national and international authorities. The Foreign Ministers of Italy and Brazil, Antonio Tajani and Mauro Vieira, respectively, will be present at the event.
The group will also hold a celebration at the Villeneuve curve, where Austrian Roland Ratzenberger also had an accident and died, but one day before Senna. (HANDLE)
