Bargoers in Italy started using straws made from pasta to consume their drinks.
And here's another completely innovative option for replacing plastic straws! Bars in Italy have decided to use none other than the most famous ingredient when we remember Italy as a straw option: pasta!
A curious material like this certainly raises many questions for customers and the London brand Stroodles answered some of them: they last up to an hour, in cold drinks they last longer and are not recommended in hot drinks due to the risk of burning, they are tasteless and can be left on the compost pile when people are done with them.

About the brand’s purpose: “Stroodles is a movement, an educational company and a gateway to more sustainable behaviors and thoughts, and the straw is just our first channel (of communication) in our mission to combat plastic waste” said Gelmann, owner of the brand.
“So we want to attract and reach less (environmentally) conscious people and show them how easy it is to make sustainable changes and get them into your life.”
In addition to the option of not using straws, these different options on the market are real incentives to reduce the use of plastic materials in everyday life, don't you think? Share the idea!
