acarajé pizza, of rose petals, of sushi…
What's your favorite pizza? If you thought about pepperoni, margherita, Portuguese, chicken with catupiry, Neapolitan or mozzarella, your taste is in line with the national average, according to a survey carried out by Superinteressante magazine.
But the pizzaiolo universe is not limited to the classics, opening the dough to other flavors such as pepperoni, garlic, arugula with sun-dried tomatoes, zucchini, as well as the most exotic and, of course, the irresistible sweet pizzas.
Since we don't need to talk about the traditional ones (unless it's to get into a fight about whether to add ketchup or not), we're looking for the most unusual pizza flavors found in Brazil. Would you have the courage to ask for any of these?
Rose petal pizza

Playback
The invention comes from a pizzeria in Curitiba, made with imported rose petals, crunchy farofa and ice cream. A good choice on Valentine's Day!
sushi pizza
An adventure for those who love Japanese food. The choice of ingredients depends on the restaurant, and may include combinations of mozzarella, tomato, sushi, soy sauce, and oregano, for example.
Sushi pizza comes from São Paulo, where the favorite is the humble mozzarella pizza. Considering that the city has half of all pizzerias in Brazil, we can expect anything from the creativity of São Paulo residents!
⇒ Bonuses: in the USA, you can still find spring roll pizza, with rolls stuffed with creamy cheese, chives and sweet and sour sauce.
Hot dog pizza
Normal people wouldn't think of combining two such delicious snacks. But some pizzerias dared and created pizza made with mozzarella, mashed potatoes (controversial), sausage and even straw potatoes. Face this?
Stroganoff pizza
If you liked the idea of finishing the pizza with straw potatoes, the beef stroganoff flavor is also an option, served in Curitiba, Salvador and other cities.
Chicken heart pizza

Despite being among the unexpected pizza flavors, it is one of the most requested in Porto Alegre. The chicken heart is covered with mozzarella and can contain other ingredients.
Beef rib pizza
It's one of the exotic flavors served in Porto Alegre, where you can find barbecue even in pizzerias, apparently.
Truffle pizza
You probably can't get more gourmet than that. Truffle pizza is another invention from São Paulo and combines white truffles, mascarpone cheese, crystal sea salt, poppy seeds and truffle oil.
snack pizza
Moving from haute cuisine to the rich gastronomy of bars, we find the Rio snack pizza, which includes mozzarella, pepperoni, ham, tenderloin and salami. After that, all that’s left to do is invent bolovo pizza.
Cheese fondue pizza

Playback
The delicacy was found in Belo Horizonte, served with tomato, mozzarella, cheese fondue, parma ham and oregano. And blogger Dani Noce taught how to make a garlic bread pizza with cheese fondue on her YouTube channel. We are intrigued.
acarajé pizza
Because the best thing about Brazil is the Brazilian people. Of course, the recipe comes from Bahia, made with black-eyed pea dough, dried shrimp, onion, tomato, coriander and palm oil. It even has a name: pizzajé!
