The online guide '50 Top Italy' officially revealed the complete list of best italian restaurants in the world in 2022. There are 23 countries represented in total, and Brazil is represented.
Barbara Guerra, Luciano Pignataro e Albert Know, the three editors of guide, declared in a note:
“We certainly haven’t discovered the success of Italian cuisine in the world. What we have particularly noticed, however, in recent years is a significant increase in average quality. Little by little, the stereotypes and false myths that surround the gastronomic culture of Beautiful country are disappearing and foreigners are managing to discover true Italian flavors even outside the Peninsula”.

Who triumphed among the best Italian restaurants in the world in 2022 was Don Alfonso 1890, em Toronto, Canada. In second place was the fiola, restaurant in Washington DC, by chef Fabio Overflow. The podium is completed by From Vittorio Shanghai.
Brazil appears in 28th place: Picchi, by chef Pier Paolo Picchi, at Oscar Feire in São Paulo. Pier Paolo holds a star Michelin. It is the only representative from South America.
In the Top 10 of the best ranking Italian restaurants of the world are also names of other chefs renowned and well-known to the general Italian public, such as Giorgio Locatelli, one of the hosts of the Masterchef Italy, and Massimo Bottura, which boasts three Michelin stars with its Osteria Francescana.
In 2019, he appeared on Time's list of the 100 most influential people of the year.
