The Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, used his official Instagram account to report the circulation of fake photos of you. The images were produced using artificial intelligence tools.

According to Meloni, the photos are being shared by opponents as if they were real records. The Prime Minister stated that, although the edited images have improved their appearance in some cases, the practice serves to fabricate falsehoods.

• Delays at the town hall and consulate
• Customized legal strategy
The Prime Minister stressed that the problem goes beyond her public figure. She described deepfakes as dangerous instruments of manipulation and deception that can affect anyone.
Meloni emphasized that she has the means to defend herself against these creations, but expressed concern for citizens who do not have the same resources. According to her, the use of these technologies can indiscriminately victimize individuals.

"Several fake photos of me are circulating these days, generated with..." artificial intelligence "And passed off as true by some diligent opponent," Meloni wrote on social media.
Italian policy reinforced the need for caution in the digital environment. It suggested that the main rule should be to verify information before believing it and, especially, before sharing it.
“I must acknowledge that whoever carried them out, at least in the attached case, also improved me considerably. But the fact remains that, to attack and invent falsehoods, anything really is used now,” declared the Prime Minister.
The statement concludes with a warning about how easily manipulated content can spread. Meloni emphasized that the situation she is facing today could happen to anyone in the future.
