Laura Pausini becomes the first woman to sing at Circo Máximo

Laura Pausini achieved another career record by becoming the first woman to perform at Circo Máximo

Around 15 fans attended the singer on Sunday night

Italian singer Laura Pausini has achieved another career record by becoming the first woman to perform at the Circus Maximus, Rome's ancient stadium and largest entertainment arena.

After being the first woman to sing at the San Siro stadium (2007), in Milan, and the first woman to tour Italian stadiums, in 2016, Pausini jokes: “now the only thing missing is the Coliseum”.

Around 15 thousand fans attended the singer's show on Sunday night (22), for a preview of the world tour of “Fatti Sentire” which premiered on Thursday (26), in Miami, and to celebrate her 25 years of career, officially celebrated on July 23. “I’m excited, but less scared than usual. It must be age. It’s the first time I’ve done something this big without anxiety,” said Pausini before going up on the big stage of the Circus Maximus, amidst lights and special effects. The concert began with “Non è detto”, a song she released in 2018 as a new project, then “E.STA.A.TE”, also from the new album.

Then, several medleys mixing new and old hits, including “Primavera in antecipo” (2008), “La mia risposta” (1998) and “Le cose che vivi” (1996). (ANSA)
