Segundo o portal RaiNews, a RAI decidiu suspender preventivamente as reprises de verão do programa Report depois que o partido Fratelli d’Italia protocolou um boletim na Promotoria pedindo esclarecimentos sobre a relação entre o jornalista Sigfrido Ranucci e o empresário Valter Lavitola, investigado por supostos negócios em energia renovável no Lácio. Investigadores analisam materiais apreendidos na casa de Lavitola, incluindo sete manuscritos, três celulares e dois pen drives.

Ranucci negou qualquer vínculo: “Não existe nenhuma investigação do Report condicionada por Lavitola”, disse à agência ANSA. O jornalista classificou a decisão da RAI como “conjecturas vergonhosas” e afirmou estar consternado.
