Ímola receives a work by the Brazilian artist. The location was the scene of the tragedy that took the pilot's life
“This week I completed here in Imola, at the famous Italian race track where Ayrton Senna made his last start, a mural with his portrait: looking at the track, with his fingers pointed upwards, thanking God. The pilot was an example of hard work, overcoming and faith in God. It is a Brazilian symbol, of which we are very proud and which serves as inspiration. A detail of the mural is the Austrian flag that I placed on the helmet. In the fateful race, Senna intended to pay homage to his Austrian colleague Ratzenberger, who died at the same race track in training that same weekend, in 1994. Senna's story is present in the yellow stripe on his helmet, in which I show the beginning of his career, in the kart.”, said.
