The study, carried out by SWG at the request of Coca-Cola, sought to understand the relationship between Italians and pizza, which is the favorite dish of 35% of natives of the “Belpaese”.

Another 25% consume it as a delicious treat that they allow themselves from time to time. For 17% of those interviewed, pizza is the best choice for special occasions, such as birthday celebrations or even to relax on the weekend.

As for the typology, the “Neapolitan” one, considered classic, simple and traditional, is the favorite of 60% of Italians, especially those who live in the Center-South (66%), the land of origin of this version.

Already “farcita”, which is well-filled, is the tastiest for 29% of those interviewed. Finally, the “gourmet” version, characterized as refined, modern and contemporary, combining flavor and design, is the best for 11%.
