Vitória will have this weekend the polenta fall. The Sabores da Terra Fair takes place from this Thursday (07) and continues until Sunday (10) at Praça do Papa, in the capital of Espírito Santo.
“We will have Italian descendants serving our visitors with a typical dish from our State. Polenta represents more than a characteristic specialty of the mountain region; it is a rescue of what we are, produce and create here in Espírito Santo, taking our culture to other Brazilian states”, comments Ademir Dadalto, organizer of the event, which has free entry.
On Friday (08) the mini polenta tomb parade is scheduled to start at 20pm, with two mobile stoves and the participation of volunteers and descendants of Italians throughout the route.
In addition to them, the presence of the princesses and queen, elected during the Polenta Festival 2021, is confirmed, as well as the Italian humming and other traditions of Venda Nova do Imigrante.
In total, 60 kg of cornmeal will be used for the mini polenta tomb, which will be served with sauce to visitors immediately after the procession.
In addition to the Italian traditions, other producers will be present to exhibit and sell flowers and plants of different species; artisanal beverages, such as wines and liqueurs; quality coffees that stand out in the Espírito Santo scene; typical dishes from the interior of Espírito Santo and handicrafts, which present more about the culture of Espírito Santo.
