The selection of royalty was part of the celebrations for the 68th anniversary of political and administrative emancipation and the 114th anniversary of colonization of West RiverIn Santa Catarina, in the Alto Vale do Itajaí microregion, eight candidates competed for the titles in an evening marked by cultural presentations that reinforced the Italian identity of the municipality.

The organization opted to maintain the selection of royalty even with the postponement of the party. “We decided to maintain the selection of royalty because they had already been there for three years, the other girls are starting to have a different life with college and everything else, so we needed representation now,” explained Márcia Sapelli, Secretary of Industry, Commerce, Tourism and Culture of the municipality.
The new court will have the mission of representing and promoting the Polenta Festival at events in the region, with free admission. "For sure, we are totally prepared, our trio will be wonderful and we will represent Rio do Oeste with a lot of love and it will be beautiful," said Larissa Waller.

FEPOL's 40th anniversary in 2027
The 2027 edition will have a special significance: it will mark the 40th anniversary of the first FEPOL.
