Italian president slams 'irrational fear' of immigrants

The President of Italy, Sergio Mattarella, highlighted this Wednesday (30) the importance of the market day for immigrants, who can contribute to the country's productive fabric, and criticized “irrational fears” against foreigners.

"Work is a powerful instrument of integration, and I am thinking of the many immigrants and the needs of the productive world," said the head of state during a ceremony at the Quirinale Palace in Rome.
