A ITA Airways The frequency of flights between São Paulo (Guarulhos) and Rome (Fiumicino) will increase starting in August, with the addition of four more weekly flights between the two countries. With this, there will be 11 weekly flights connecting the two airports.
The increase in São Paulo is another of the announcements made by the Italian company, which will also launch, from the end of October, the route between Rio de Janeiro and Rome-Fiumicino with seven weekly trips, bringing the total number of trips to 18.
The new flights from São Paulo will be operated by Airbus A330 aircraft, departing from São Paulo on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 19pm and landing in Fiumicino at 9:40am – both according to local times. Trips starting in Rome will depart at 9:40 am and arrive at São Paulo international airport at 17 pm.
According to ITA, the increase “is in line with the significant increase in demand” and “is a new demonstration of the company's important investment in the Brazilian market, allowing ITA to further strengthen its presence in South America, which has always been one of the vacation goals privileged Italian cities and a destination with the highest presence of a population of Italian origin”.
