In an interview with the television program "4 di Sera" on Mediaset, Molinari was direct: "Sánchez is doing this to try to close ranks and create political controversy with the Italian government."
The context is the Ceuta crisis, where, according to the deputy, Spain was exposed by agreements with Algeria and Morocco. Molinari also cited a Spanish immigration amnesty for one million undocumented immigrants, with a minimum residency requirement of five months, as a factor justifying Italian surveillance.
