Starting June 10, ITA Airways, Italy's main airline, will have connectivity with 8 Brazilian cities.
This Monday (06) the sharing of flights (Codeshare) with Azul, the largest airline in Brazil in number of cities served and daily flights, was announced.
According to a statement released, customers will have the best connection options available to the main Brazilian cities. Tickets can now be purchased on all official ITA Airways channels.
Under the agreement, ITA will place its "AZ" code on domestic flights operated by Azul in eight strategic markets: Belém (PA), Cuiabá (MT), Santos Dumont (RJ), Porto Alegre (RS), Recife (PE), Juazeiro do Norte (CE), Belo Horizonte (MG), and Curitiba (PR), which will have connections with five weekly frequencies in June and July from ITA Airways, and a daily flight from August, departing from Rome to... São Paulo.
In addition to access to mesh connectivity, the main benefit of customers using codeshare will be the ease of carrying out a single check-in and dispatching their luggage from the origin to the final destination.
“These new connections will allow ITA Airways start expanding in South America, which has always been a favorite destination for Italian holidays and a destination with the largest population of Italian origin, in addition to being a very important market alongside the United States for business and cargo traffic”, says the company’s note.
