ITA Airways announced that it will have new uniforms on board, debut cabin interiors and improve the dining experience on its flights.
The redesigned image will be unveiled on June 2nd, on the airline's inaugural flight between Rome and Buenos Aires, operated by an Airbus A350-900.
According to Aeroin, the company highlighted the new approach to its image, committed to the customer experience and sustainability. The A350 “is the new ambassador of ITA Airways in the world, with the work of three prestigious Italian talents in the evolution of its image“, maintains the company.
Aviacionline reports that the new uniforms crew were designed in collaboration between airline staff and BRUNELLO CUCINELLI. The idea, according to the luxury fashion brand, is to transfer the style of Italian haute couture on board planes and represent the image of Italy as “cradle of a culture inspired by beauty, art and traditions”. The new uniforms will be rolled out across the entire fleet progressively over the coming months.

The new cabin interiors were developed by designer Walter De Silva. “Design is a transversal and universal language; The interior of an airplane, like any moving space, is a place to be shared.”, said De Silva.
The new gastronomic service was created by the chef Enrico Bartolini, awarded a Michelin star. The menus, according to Bartolini, are inspired by the tradition of Italian culinary. Periodically, proposals from internationally renowned Italian chefs alternate.
On June 2nd, the day Italy celebrates the Feast of the Republic, the airline's inaugural flight to Buenos Aires will take place. Flight AZ-681 (same number as Alitalia's daily flight) is scheduled to depart at 12:40 pm local time and arrive at 6:40 am the following day, Argentina time.
It will be a special operation, as it will mark the return of regular flights between Italy and Argentina, two countries with strong historical ties.
Services were interrupted in March 2020, when both Alitalia and Aerolineas Argentinas descheduled their connections due to the implementation of pandemic restriction measures.
That same day, the company's first flight to São Paulo–Guarulhos (GRU) will leave from Fiumicino. Initially, five weekly frequencies will be available in both directions. The route will be operated by Airbus A330 aircraft.
From June 6th, a codeshare with Azul Linhas Aéreas will allow customers of the Italian airline to fly to eight cities in Brazil.
