The crisis that is ravaging Brazil and India, caused by the new coronavirus pandemic, was highlighted on Monday night (3), on Tg24 Sky, in Italy.
With the theme "In the eye of the hurricane“, the news program portrayed the Indian tragedy and, to talk about the health crisis in Brazil, invited the journalist Diego Mezzogiorno, live from Florianópolis, Santa Catarina.

Michele Cagiano, the news anchor, also wanted to know about the pace of vaccination in Brazil and the presidential election in 2022.

Italy has lowest number of new Covid cases in almost 7 months
Italy recorded this Monday (3) the lowest number of new cases of Covid-19 in almost seven months, with 5.948 infections reported in 24 hours, according to a bulletin from the Ministry of Health.
This is the lowest figure since October 13, when 5.901 infections were recorded – since the beginning of the pandemic, Monday has been the day with the lowest number of cases reported in Italy, as it reflects the weekend's delay.
The country now has 4.050.708 confirmed infections caused by the new coronavirus and 121.433 deaths, after an increase of 256 deaths in 24 hours, a drop from 301 last Monday.
The seven-day moving average of infections fell to 11.367, the lowest figure since October 21st (10.979), while the number of deaths decreased to 271, the lowest figure since November 4th (266). Italy also has more than 3,5 million cured cases and 423.558 active cases, the lowest number since February 28 (422.367).
To date, around 20,9 million anti-Covid vaccines have been administered in Italy, with more than 6,3 million people, 10,6% of the national population, taking both doses of AstraZeneca, Pfizer or of Moderna or a single dose of Janssen and completed the immunization cycle. (Loop)
