A new website promises to reveal the history of your surname and details of your family origins.

Through Forebears, the user can have details of where the first people in their family came from, for example, regardless of where they are in the world.

There it is possible to discover the origin of each name, in addition to counting the number of people and division by region in relation to the “fame” of each family.

This is an interesting feature to satisfy your curiosity about the family tree and discover people with the same surname in other countries.

A Portuguese version of Forebears is now available. Just type the desired surname and, within a few seconds, the list of results will be displayed with its origin.

The site also presents some curiosities, such as the approximate number of people, most popular locations and other data, but without going into depth or telling much history about the surnames.

Are you curious? Then visit!
