With almost 700 years of existence, the University of Pisa or, in Italian, Università di Pisa, is one of the oldest higher education institutions in the world.
It is one of the best according to several international rankings, such as the QS Word University Rankings, mainly in terms of research, innovation and accessibility. But the great news is that, despite being old, Unipi follows the global trend of opening its doors to international students.
For a Brazilian student to enroll in one of the 60 undergraduate and more than 300 postgraduate courses, for example, only a high school diploma is required for level 1 graduation or a bachelor's degree or degree for level 2 graduation. Furthermore, all undergraduate courses require an entry test to verify that the student has the minimum skills required for the chosen course. Simple, right?
If you are in the Humanities field, a tip is specializations in Human Resources, an area that has recently opened up many vacancies in the country. Who knows, maybe you’ll complete your postgraduate degree and already fill a vacancy in the job market?
To study at the same university where physicist, mathematician and astronomer Galileo Galilei studied, not even a foreign language is an obstacle. If you don't know any Italian, you can apply for courses in English, presenting, of course, a certificate of proficiency. If you are fluent in Dante Alighieri's language, just present your CILS certificate, which measures proficiency in the Italian language, and run for the hug.
Scholarships
The most famous scholarship fund in the central part of the boot is the Right to University Study (DSU), which covers the entire Tuscany region, where the city of Pisa is located. Through this fund, monthly fees can be reduced or waived depending on income or country of origin. For more information on the subject, see University of Pisa. (by Nathália Honci)
