If your nose has already been the subject of jokes, it's time to turn it into a symbol of pride!
On August 31th, Discharge, in Santa Catarina, will be the setting for one of the most unusual contests of the year: the biggest nose competition during the Del Ghebo Party.
The highlight of the Italian night will be the famous “nazometer”, (a device created especially for the party) that promises to measure, with almost scientific precision, the size of the noses present.
Clésio Ivo Mondini, party organizer, jokes that the nazometer is such an advanced piece of equipment that “even NASA tried to copy.” But, it is at the Festa Del Ghebo that he will play his most important role: choosing the biggest nose of the night.
The big winner, in addition to having a lot of fun, will walk away with the title of biggest-nosed person in Santa Catarina.
Tickets for this celebration are on sale for R$ 200, guaranteeing an evening full of food, drinks, and the chance to see your nose recognized as the biggest of all.
Among the gastronomic delights, there will be polenta made in the parolo (a traditional container for preparing the dish), with live tipping, brustolated polenta on the plate with cheese, fresh salads and italian pasta, all to the sound of lively performances.
