A brand that is experiencing a second youth and continues to move the passion of thousands of motorcyclists around the world.”
This Monday, March 15, 2021, Moto Guzzi celebrated its first and legendary 100 years. a century of history, of splendid motorcycles, of victories, of adventures, of extraordinary characters who built the myth of the Marca da Águia.
The range of motorcycles is deeply renewed, keeping the brand's values of style and authenticity intact. Each model is created in accordance with a unique and authentic identity, balancing classic style with cutting-edge technology.

Moto Guzzi: the ability to innovate
Roberto Colaninno: “The ability to innovate, the courage to be ahead of the times, the competitive spirit, the love for the product and the meticulous attention to production quality are the talents that Moto Guzzi has managed to combine over the years with a relationship unique with its territory. From 1921 until today, every Guzzi motorcycle that traveled the roads of the world was born in the factory Mandello del Lario, right there where the story began exactly a century ago. And all this will continue into its second century of history as well. A totally Italian excellence, which made the history of our country without ever getting old and which continues to move the most authentic passion of thousands of Guzzistas all over the world.”
The eagle with open wings has origin in the common militancy of founders Carlo Guzzi and Giorgio Parodi in the Royal Navy Air Service during the First World War.
It was during the conflict that the two friends, together with the pilot Giovanni Ravelli, decided to dedicate themselves, after the war, to building motorcycles.
Ravelli, however, never managed to realize his dream, as he was the victim of an accident in 1919. Guzzi and Parodi chose the Eagle as a symbol to also remember their friend.
A century of history and success
In its 100 years, the brand has achieved victories on circuits around the world, carrying the Italian flag to 14 world titles.
The Moto Guzzi was also, since its origins, the motorcycle for long journeys.
It was 1928 when Giuseppe Guzzi reached the polar circle driving the GT “Norge” and this tradition continues with travelers who every day, and in all parts of the world, they leave on their Guzzi motorcycles for distant destinations.
Today Moto Guzzi is a fundamental part of the Piaggio Group, the leading European manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, which has preserved its original characteristics, promoted its values and returned it to a leadership role.
