Will Italy bet on Balotelli to go to the World Cup? | Football Italia

The Italian press guarantees that Mario Balotelli, striker currently at Adana Demirspor, from Türkiye, will be called up by Roberto Mancini, coach of Squadra Azzura, for the dispute of playoffs of access to 2022 World.

According to Sky Sports Italy, the 31-year-old player will join the team's training sessions, scheduled for January 26th and 27th.

The source also states that Mancini will call up 35 players, in order to be able to gather enough observations for when you have to decide who will be option before North Macedonia.

It is worth remembering that, if Italy overcomes North Macedonia and Portugal triumphs over Turkey, the two would play a decisive game to see who takes the last spot for the World cup.

Balotelli currently has eight goals and two assists in 20 Turkish league games. He has not played for the national team since September 7, 2018, the date he scored a goal in the draw against Poland, in a Nations League game.

Balotelli has already worn the Italy shirt 36 times and scored 14 goals.
